Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; ensure correct changes, bag merchandise, provide receipts, and maintain high guest service standards. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards loyalty). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in all aspects of their responsibilities, including company policies and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; ensure alignment with customer service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; record feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure associates complete onboarding, job training, and compliance training prior to opening or closing shifts; knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule store associates, manage breaks and meals, supervise staffing levels to ensure optimal guest service. Approve payroll and manage paid time off; verify compensation for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices; inspect packages at closing as appropriate and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and organize products for easy access. Balance and reconcile daily transactions; handle cash and bank deposits according to policy. Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct inventories; communicate issues to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately; label boxes with packing lists. Promote associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files; keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine, individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work independently and in a team; meet performance expectations and attendance standards. Operate POS system; basic mathematics and alphabetical skills. Complete required paperwork properly and follow instructions accordingly. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Resilience under pressure; problem-solving abilities. Reliable and trustworthy; good judgment. Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as needed. Benefits

$10.75 - $14.75 per hour
