Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 7614) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. The role develops and promotes a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences. The position supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, and promote the guest benefits program; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately; ensure correct changes, bag merchandise, provide receipts, and maintain top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or via phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop benefits such as reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and guidelines. Observe associate performance and provide feedback; address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in Workday/HR systems in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training completion prior to opening/closing shifts; ensure staff know policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocols, and ethics. Schedule store associates, manage breaks, and supervise staffing to maintain optimal guest service. Approve payroll and manage paid time off; verify time worked and accurate pay. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment function properly. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support meeting/exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform required administrative and operational duties. Conduct stock counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized. Manage daily cash, closeout paperwork, and bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments, record discrepancies, and conduct inventories; communicate discrepancies to the Store/District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls promptly with proper labeling and packing. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries as per guidelines. Assist in maintaining store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to all GameStop policies and the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/merchandising preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills & Abilities

Strong people skills and an outgoing, welcoming personality. Provide genuine assistance to every guest; communicate clearly in English (bilingual English/Spanish preferred). Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; work independently and as part of a team. Meet performance expectations related to attendance, safety, appearance, and respect in the workplace. Operate the POS system; perform basic math and alphabetical tasks. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow written or verbal instructions precisely. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Maintain reliability and trustworthiness; capable of working alone and standing/moving for extended periods; ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks.
