Location: Store - QUAD-DAVENPORT, IA Job Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a fun and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by assisting customers with shopping and checkout processes. Complete operational tasks such as truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards. Event Coordination: Manage multiple events simultaneously, including children's birthday parties and craft classes. Create a fun and creative environment for clients of all ages. Demonstrate crafts, perform face painting, and facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, and adapt plans based on feedback. Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Customer Experience: Assist customers with product location and solutions. Provide a quick and friendly checkout experience. Promote and enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. Support omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS. Participate in stocking, planogram, and merchandise recovery activities. Support safety and shrink programs, and adhere to SOPs and company policies. Maintain a positive, respectful attitude and serve as a role model. Preferred Skills and Experience: Energetic, enthusiastic, and personable. Experience working with children and managing children’s events. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Retail and customer service experience required. Physical and Work Environment Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store. Capability to lift heavy boxes, access high shelves, and perform physical tasks. Work includes nights, weekends, and early mornings in a climate-controlled retail environment.
