Overview
Warehouse Lead - Seasonal (Fri-Sat 6p-6:30) at Kenco Logistics. The Warehouse Lead coaches and trains warehouse associates, supports daily task execution, and provides backup to the supervisor as needed. Responsibilities may vary by department and can include shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions, or material handling (e.g., forklift operators). Responsibilities
Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training. Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations. Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution (e.g., clamp/slip sheet equipment); load, unload, and store materials/products in designated areas. Complete applicable paperwork (e.g., shipping/tracking labels) per SOPs and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG). Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances to leadership. Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks and ensure the facility is inspection-ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs. Communicate and report incidents to the supervisor; ensure product rotation procedures are followed. Review and analyze daily production reports; serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred; ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Minimum 2 years of warehouse/distribution operations experience and at least 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience or related training in a distribution environment. Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license. Competencies
