What to Expect
Responsibilities
Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach Qualify leads by understanding their needs and interests in hosting Book Fairs, setting up appointments for Account Managers Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote the value of Scholastic Reading Events Manage a pipeline of prospects, keeping accurate records in the CRM system and tracking progress toward sales goals Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach strategies and enhance lead generation efficiency
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, event management, or customer service Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation, Customer Relationship Management, or web-based software programs Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with peers, superiors, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution Demonstrated leadership ability and qualities in previous roles
