What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and identify potential school and district partners while initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
Qualify leads by understanding their needs and setting appointments for Account Managers
Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators, highlighting the value of Scholastic Reading Events
Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track progress toward sales goals
Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and stay informed about industry trends
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management systems
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
Proficient in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
