The Quality Document Controller is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and version control of the company’s quality assurance documentation, including SOPs, quality records, forms, and certifications. This role ensures that all quality documents meet internal and external standards and are readily available to support compliance, audits, and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience in document control systems, and familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing. Key Responsibilities

Maintain and manage document control systems for SOPs, forms, logs, specifications, and policies Ensure proper version control and distribution of controlled documents across departments Track document revisions, approvals, and effective dates to ensure timely updates and training alignment Support audit readiness by preparing document packets and ensuring documentation is audit-compliant Work with QA, Production, and Maintenance teams to ensure accessibility and alignment of current procedures Organize and archive historical quality records, batch documentation, and release files Assist in the development and formatting of new procedures and controlled templates Monitor documentation timelines for regulatory, certification, and internal audit requirements Provide support for change control processes and ensure proper documentation routing Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Document Revision Timeliness: Percentage of document updates and revisions completed within required timeframes. Recordkeeping Accuracy and Completeness: Percentage of files and records maintained accurately and fully in accordance with SOPs. Document Retrieval Speed: Time taken to locate and provide documentation during audits or reviews. Change Request Completion Rate: Percentage of change requests completed accurately and on schedule. SOP and Training Alignment Rate: Degree of alignment between updated SOPs and corresponding training materials. Requirements

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred 2 years experience in document control or administrative quality role in manufacturing Experience with food safety systems (e.g., SQF, BRC, HACCP) and FDA documentation preferred Skills & Competencies

High attention to detail and document organization Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Familiarity with regulatory documentation standards and retention requirements Pittston Co-Packers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
