Government and Public Sector - FAAS - Senior Manager at EY. The Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team is growing, and as a Senior Manager you will play a key role across Federal GPS sector service lines, developing your career by communicating strategic goals and delivering an exceptional client experience. Your Key Responsibilities
Work across projects that will vary; think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop solutions to complex issues. Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines; build relationships and identify opportunities to apply firm knowledge to client needs. Travel regularly to meet with key clients, some of whom are highly respected in their fields. Skills And Attributes For Success
Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with audit client personnel; assess client satisfaction and maintain contact throughout the year. Direct field work, inform supervisors of engagement status and manage assurance staff performance. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. Develop people by delegating audit tasks and providing guidance to assurance staff; deliver performance feedback and conduct performance reviews. Contribute ideas to assurance teams and listen to other team members’ views; foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented environment. Use technology to learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery; understand EY service lines and encourage contributions from team members. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business with 7 years of post-baccalaureate experience with Federal US GAAP. U.S. CPA license in your work state. Excellent project management, communication and negotiation skills; collaborative approach to management. Proven record of excellence in managing, mentoring and improving a team of high-performing colleagues; dedication to teamwork and leadership; integrity in a professional environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Work may occur at client, EY and/or contractor sites; travel may be required up to 25-30% or more in a hybrid environment.
