Payroll Tax Analyst , you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders—patients, providers, payors, and regulators—to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
You Will
Investigate and review all payroll tax agency notices and ensure timely execution of resolution on federal, state and local jurisdictions
Track and maintain status of tax inquiries in Payroll Tax Log through resolution and review with Payroll management
Perform quarterly reconciliation and data analysis between wages and tax liability
Coordinate and prepare amendment tax filings for manager review
Assist in preparing in house tax filings with various agencies (NV MBT, DE TT, WA EXCISE & LNI)
Collaborate with team members with year-end, balancing wages, and timely processing for accurate W2
Communicate directly with tax jurisdictions as well as third party vendor ADP Tax Direct regarding tax inquiries
Audit employees’ tax setup to identify discrepancies to maintain compliance with work and resident state taxation regulations and coordinate corrections with Payroll practitioners
Stay current on changing payroll/tax legislation, while keeping the team and payroll manager informed.
Analyze SUI tax rates for accuracy and update payroll system
Work with Finance to resolve tax inquiries/adjustments affecting general ledger postings for payroll account
Research and track all payroll tax refunds
Prepare registration for new SIT, SUI, LIT tax ID’s
Maintain department specific files and audit documents
Document and maintain procedures
Assist with various audits and special projects as needed

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
Demonstrated knowledge of all areas of employment tax processing (Tax Deposits, Return filing, Tax Notice, Adjustments/Amendments, forms etc)
Strong knowledge multi-state payroll, IRS Federal, State and Local wage and tax laws & reporting requirements
Set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision while maintaining organization and preserving strict confidentiality of all information.
Quickly absorb, process, and apply knowledge to appropriately meet requirements
Demonstrate exceptional customer service and interact in a professional manner with various functions and levels within the Organization
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Manage multiple projects and fluctuating workload & flexibility to assist in other tasks as assigned.
Durability to work in a fast changing environment and ability to multi-task on a daily basis.
Must have knowledge of Payroll practices
Must have solid Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient in ADP applications and reports a plus (i.e. wage & tax register, Master Control, and Multi Jurisdiction etc.)
Strong experience with Excel preferred (vlookup, pivot, formulas, etc.)
Proficient with internet search engines and ability to learn required business systems
General knowledge of Accounting and General ledger principles
Strong verbal and written communication skills with timely follow up and excellent follow through skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work long hours if needed
Excellent attention to details and ability to mitigate data entry errors for high accuracy
3-5 years of related payroll and payroll tax experience to include a great understanding of wage and hour law, payroll tax, and federal/state regulations.
