Responsibilities
Provide onsite support at multiple agency facilities across South Carolina for network equipment upgrades, relocations, troubleshooting, and enterprise wireless installations.
Perform installation, configuration, deployment, and upgrades of network and wireless hardware, including enterprise wireless access points.
Monitor, identify, and remediate issues with LAN, WLAN, and WAN networks, including both Windows and Mac-based systems, and various mobile devices.
Support and troubleshoot network connectivity for agency laboratory instruments and other systems.
Manage the lifecycle of wireless networks/devices, including ISE registration and device onboarding.
Conduct onsite wireless network assessments and create/maintain wireless heatmaps using Ekahau and iPad.
Perform firmware, software, security, and feature upgrades, as well as other routine network maintenance tasks.
Serve as first and second-tier support for wireless and network connectivity issues, resolving most routine problems.
Monitor and respond to trouble tickets in the agency’s ticketing system; provide timely and effective issue resolution.
Collaborate with Network, Security, IT staff, and contractors to resolve network-related issues and provide technical solutions.
Regular statewide travel required; must be comfortable working on ladders and able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ensure all assignments and deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and with regular progress updates to management.
