Overview
Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our expanding team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. The role focuses on maintaining overall availability and reliability of data center operations, ensuring service levels are met or exceeded. Key Responsibilities
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Work in an environment that operates 24/7; participate in on-call rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed. Some regional travel may be required. Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree in IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience. 2+ years of experience with server hardware. 1+ year of experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems. Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP) is a plus. Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications is a plus. Previous experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment). Associate’s degree in IT-related field plus two years of progressively responsible experience preferred. Benefits
