As Beverage Manager you will be part of the overall restaurant management team, with responsibilities that include leading daily opening and closing duties, with a focus on the bar. Opening activities include managing the floor and ensuring the restaurant is prepared to welcome guests. Closing activities include managing the floor until the last guests leave and then completing closing duties. You will be responsible for maintaining our standards of practice, cleanliness, and the overall care of the restaurant. You will report directly to the General Manager and follow guidance and lead in adherence to company standards. Responsibilities

Service: Create floor charts and assign sections Service: Manage team member productivity Service: Assign deep cleaning tasks Service: Balance workflow Service: Balance number of seats per team member Service: Ensure the restaurant is detailed, stocked and ready for service at all times Service: Make cuts and assign breaks as needed Service: Uphold the standards and practices of Juliet Italian Kitchen at all times Service: Support and lead servers, server assistants, and bar staff Service: Delegate priorities to team members as needed Service: Ensure food is up to standards, garnished and served properly Service: Ensure all drinks and wines are served correctly Service: Complete and review all checklists for all positions, including your own Service: Ensure BEOs are accounted for and executed correctly Maintenance: Maintain inventory of spirits, beer, wine, ingredients, and non-alcoholic beverages Maintenance: Maintain/update Juliet’s Spirit/Wine/Beer program to stay relevant Maintenance: Ensure the beverage program is fresh, seasonally appropriate, and on brand while maintaining profitability Maintenance: Maintain inventory par system to meet budget goals Staff Training: Continuous training on Juliet’s Bar program (ideally with vendor assistance) Staff Training: Training program for new hires as it relates to the beverage program Staff Training: Foster growth in the bar team and advocate for them when issues arise Staff Training: Identify and groom potential bar leads Staff Training: Assist in training the entire management team to be capable behind the bar and knowledgeable on the bar program Staff Training: Assist with updates to the overall staff training program as it relates to the bar program Financial: Complete weekly bar inventory Financial: Maintain beverage pricing to ensure profitability and stay within budget parameters Financial: Utilize the accounting system to input bar invoices Financial: Restaurant key-holder; perform close of day and ensure deposits are accurate Financial: Handle all cash and ensure everything balances Financial: Ensure everyone is clocked in and out correctly Financial: Assign counts and 86s to items in Toast; create Change Orders Financial: Take deposits and Change Orders to the bank when needed Financial: Work with the Executive team to establish yearly budget for the bar Financial: Review bar budget for controllable expenses Financial: Make purchases (glassware, silverware, flatware, etc.) Financial: Assist with payroll when needed Administrative: Restaurant key-holder Administrative: Develop relationships with sales representatives to benefit Juliet Administrative: Hire and onboard team members into systems such as Inova, HotSchedules, Toast, Grat Share, etc. Administrative: Track time-off requests and team member availabilities Administrative: Schedule bar team in conjunction with the AGM and GM Administrative: Write up or issue verbal warnings for team members as needed Administrative: Terminate team members when necessary Administrative: Maintain staffing pars for bar team members Administrative: Interview potential new hires Administrative: Conduct 60-day and annual reviews with team members Administrative: Sign for deliveries when appropriate Administrative: Attend weekly manager meetings at 3 PM on Fridays Administrative: Maintain organization of paper products, checklists, and training files Administrative: Put away paper orders and keep the office clear of boxes Administrative: Place orders with vendors as needed Note: This document is intended to describe the general responsibilities.
