Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly; respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously; assist guests with video gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items; apply selling behaviors during every transaction and thank guests for shopping; circulate throughout the store to demonstrate commitment to guests. Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; handle transactions with correct changes, receipts, and top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards programs). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide timely recognition and feedback to associates; document feedback in Workday/HR systems in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening/closing shifts; ensure associates know policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Ahead of opening/closing shifts, schedule associates to maintain optimum guest service; supervise staffing levels accordingly. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify pay accuracy. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at close and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support meeting/exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative and operational duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and move products to ensure representation and organization on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions in the POS; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; report injuries per guidelines. Keep store records/files organized; ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all GameStop policies and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States; must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/merchandising or related field preferred. Retail management experience preferred (minimum 6 months); retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred (2+ years). Video game knowledge preferred. Key Job Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills; provides genuine assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficient; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently and in a team; meet performance expectations. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills; complete required paperwork properly. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Ability to manage pressure, be creative, and solve problems; reliable and trustworthy with good judgment. Able to stand and move for long periods; lift up to 30 lbs; perform physical tasks as required. Understanding of military ranks/insignia where applicable (stores on military bases).
