Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; prioritize guests over tasks and demonstrate that commitment by circulating throughout the store. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/return transactions using POS; handle changes, receipts, and ensure top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits and loyalty programs. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on company policies and procedures. Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues as directed. Manage onboarding and training for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of store policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates to meet guest service goals; supervise staffing levels to maintain high service standards. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and validate time entries. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and equipment functionality. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipping. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as needed; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Assist in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct inventories; communicate discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per company guidelines. Maintain store records/files neatly and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Adhere to all policies and procedures in the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Operate POS system and basic mathematics; demonstrate organizational skills. Complete required paperwork and follow instructions accurately. Flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Handle pressure, be a problem solver, and maintain guest interactions during busy periods. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently or in teams. Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lift up to 30 lbs) as needed. On military base locations: understand military ranks and insignia where applicable.
