Overview
Join Novartis as an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) Radioligand Therapy (RLT). The TLL is a customer-facing role within Marketing responsible for engaging and building productive relationships with Thought Leaders (TL), other key influencers, and associated organizations/institutions within the RLT therapeutic area(s). This position is responsible for curating advocacy and support, contributing to HCP education delivery and effectiveness, and gathering and sharing insights from the Thought Leader community within their assigned geographic area.
Location and Travel
Location: Central region of TX, OK, LA, AR, MO, KS, ND, SD, WI, IL, and IA; up to 80% travel. Preferred location is Texas or Oklahoma, but the role can be remote within the territory (some legal entity restrictions apply). The role does not include relocation and only local candidates will be considered. Working hours and travel are defined by the hiring manager.
Key Responsibilities
Curate advocacy for respective brand(s), RLT and/or organization through personal engagements using approved material, coordinate and facilitate engagements/activities between TLs and cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, Peer education, Medical Affairs), and serve as a key point of contact between TLs and the organization.
Educate and align TLs to Strategic Imperatives while driving brand initiatives with the TLs. In partnership with Education Delivery Team and Medical Affairs, contribute to HCP education by speaker nomination and readiness based on TL knowledge and relationships.
Serve as moderator/faculty for educational activities (e.g., Peer Exchange).
Identify and execute educational activities/opportunities (e.g., Product Theaters). Gather observations/insights from the TL community and triage them to the appropriate function to inform commercial strategy, tactics and decisions.
Liaise and coordinate national/regional conferences, state society meetings and patient advocacy events as appropriate.
Align across the Novartis organization to coordinate TL interactions and deliver a cohesive customer experience during events.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 5 years of experience in Thought Leader/Center of Excellence engagement within the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., Thought Leader Liaison, Account Manager, Medical Science Liaison, regional marketing, medical publications/communications, etc.)
Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
Proven ability to develop productive relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Ability to develop and implement key strategies, and to lead, motivate, develop, and influence others
Strong analytical skills and presentation skills with the ability to prioritize, negotiate and problem solve
Financial/budgetary experience
Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
Desirable Requirements
Radioligand or Oncology therapeutic area experience/expertise
MBA or advanced degree
Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position is expected to range between $145,600 and $270,400 per year. Final salary is based on relevant skills and experience and will be reviewed periodically. Compensation may include a performance-based cash incentive and potential eligibility for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a generous time-off package (vacation, personal days, holidays, and other leaves).
The incumbent will be required to complete initial training (home study) within eight hours per day and forty hours per week or fewer.
Driving is an essential function of this role and requires a fully valid, unrestricted driver’s license. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified individuals with medical restrictions when an accommodation does not eliminate the essential function of driving.
