Account Manager - Outside Sales (New Jersey)
Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Overview The Account Manager - Outside Sales is responsible for managing the New Jersey territory by meeting and exceeding sales, gross profit, and unit goals. They will maintain customer accounts to ensure advanced service and technical support to customers through regular on-site consultative visits. This position reports to the District Manager and is part of the Sales team working remotely to cover the New Jersey region.
Responsibilities
Conduct on-site customer visits to provide technical information and seminars regarding chromatography-related products and services.
Ensure that the assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals.
Attend local vendor shows and company-sponsored trade shows.
Develop business plans, market analysis, and sales strategies for the assigned territory.
Collaborate with team members to contribute to a positive, learning-focused company culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Life Sciences field.
At least 2 years of experience in Sales and/or related scientific roles (e.g., Research Scientist, Product Specialist, Field Application/Technical Specialist).
Experience in LCMS/HPLC.
Analytical thinking with the ability to present clearly to groups and individuals.
Strong organizational skills with detailed planning and resource management.
Travel up to 75% within territory with occasional overnight travel for sales conferences, trainings, and meetings.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred
Good working knowledge of the chromatography consumables market and various industry customers.
Strong Biopharma background.
Compensation and Benefits This role offers a base salary of $110,000-$115,000 per year and is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Phenomenex provides a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
