Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly; respond to questions and concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with video gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items; apply selling behaviors during every transaction; and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop. Circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including giving correct change, providing receipts, and ensuring high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-in programs, and Pro Rewards loyalty. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations for associates and training staff in company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed, ensuring alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates and maintain records in partnerships with the Store Manager. Ensure associates complete onboarding, job training, and compliance training prior to opening or closing shifts. Knowledge should cover policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Assist in scheduling store associates, manage breaks and meals, supervise staffing for optimum guest service, and ensure adherence to scheduling guidelines. Approve payroll, manage time off requests, and verify timely payment for all hours worked. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure equipment is in proper working order. Fulfill Omnichannel orders and enable daily shipping. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages during closing shifts and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative duties. Perform store inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are well represented and organized. Balance daily POS transactions, complete closeout paperwork, and manage cash and deposits according to guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct counts; communicate discrepancies to the Store Manager/District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per company guidelines. Maintain organized store records and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders when the Store Manager is absent. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Adhere to opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. Retail management experience preferred (6 months min). Retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred (2 years). Video game knowledge preferred. Key Job Skills and Abilities

Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine, individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and active listening; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations for attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS system and basic mathematical skills; alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork accurately and follow written or oral instructions. Flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Resilience under pressure; problem-solving mindset. Reliable and trustworthy with sound judgment. Able to work alone and stand/move for extended periods; ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform related physical tasks. Benefits and Compensation

Benefits: Full-time store positions are eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonuses and other incentives may apply. Compensation: $19.05 - $23.05 per hour. EmploymentType and Function
