Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 5551) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and develops a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences through professional conduct and shared passion for gaming. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors during every transaction, and thank guests for shopping at GameStop. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including giving correct change, providing receipts, and maintaining high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits such as new title reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards loyalty program. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document written feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening/closing shifts; knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates to follow guidelines; supervise staffing to maintain optimal guest service; ensure breaks and meals are accounted for. Approve payroll, manage PTO and time edits, and verify pay for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support meeting/exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily totals in the POS; complete closeout paperwork; manage cash and deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies; record discrepancies and conduct inventories as needed. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and in a team; perform tasks in a timely manner. Meet performance expectations (attendance, appearance, safety, respectful workplace). Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing; complete required paperwork properly. Follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; execute financial tasks per policy. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Remain reliable and trustworthy; manage pressure and adapt to change; be a problem solver. Able to work alone; stand/move for extended periods; physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform related movements.
