Position Summary
As a Produce Department Lead, you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the members' expectations. What you'll do
Be a Team Leader : Supervise the team in Produce and Floral areas to meet business goals and contribute to the club's success. Communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company. Be an Expert : Maintain in-depth knowledge of business operations, ensuring quality, inventory, sanitation, safety, and compliance standards are met. Manage seasonality, collaborate with associates, and ensure resources are available for effective work. Be a Techie : Use digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve shopping experience, and increase associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions and support adoption of new tools. Be an Owner : Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, maintain a clean and safe environment, and uphold standards for merchandise presentation and member service. Be a Talent Ambassador : Train and develop team members, identify potential, foster career growth, and attract new talent. Implement processes to meet business needs, analyze data, monitor progress, and improve operations. Act with Integrity : Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart's values, and promote a culture of accountability and transparency.
