Position Summary Drive sales and ensure a high‑quality customer experience at the Vision Center by managing merchandising, pricing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and community outreach while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.

What you’ll do

Manage merchandising and pricing to achieve sales targets and maintain competitive pricing.

Oversee inventory levels, order processing, and in‑stock requirements while budgeting and forecasting sales performance.

Lead community outreach programs and encourage associates to serve as responsible community members.

Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, analyze and interpret reports, and implement safety and quality controls.

Supervise and develop associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and promoting a culture of belonging.

Provide optical product selection, customer service, frame repair, and prescription verification while maintaining confidentiality of information.

Uphold the Open Door Policy by listening to associate concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions.

Communicate and collaborate with associates, leaders, and stakeholders to set and achieve goals, build accountability, and drive continuous improvement.

Model integrity, ethics, and excellence by acting with humility, fairness, and transparency and applying the Walmart values to support a regenerative company culture.

Deliver results while prioritizing customers, making data‑driven decisions, balancing short‑term and long‑term priorities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and change.

Minimum Qualifications

2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience AND 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in managing or supervising a vision center team.

Knowledge of optical product selection, prescription verification, and frame repair.

Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and forecasting in a retail or optical environment.

Strong communication, collaboration, and customer‑service skills.

Hourly Wage Range The hourly wage range for this position is $34.50‑$46.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional Compensation Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location may also be included.
