Become a Reading Mentor with The Shadow Project (age 18+)

The Shadow Project is recruiting volunteers to become in-person Reading Mentors in

Centennial schools . Mentors work one-on-one with students with learning challenges, motivating them to set and achieve weekly reading goals using assistive reading technology and an extensive audiobook library. Volunteers need to meet the following criteria: 18+ years old Commit 2 hours per week from October to May. Volunteer in the mornings or afternoons during school hours, 9am-3pm NOTE: As COVID-19 requirements evolve, we ask our in-person volunteers to be vaccinated and able to show proof of vaccination. Accessibility information:

Volunteers will be in-person at assigned schools, seated for most of the event, with no lifting involved. ----------------- We are committed to advancing equity for diverse learners and actively seek to recruit and retain a diverse staff, volunteers, and board—welcoming people with diverse, intersectional identities.
