The Production Supervisor oversees production scheduling, quality control, and team supervision to ensure optimal workflow and timely delivery of products. They build strong working relationships by managing service operations, resolving issues, and maintaining clear communication. Additionally, they lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, monitor key performance metrics, and promote a culture of accountability and collaboration within the team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership in maintaining a safe working environment with a strong commitment to safety excellence.

Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and instructions.

Foster a positive shop floor environment, resolve team issues constructively, and partner with HR when necessary.

Complete timely performance evaluations and maintain the Employee Skill & Training Matrix.

Manage and coordinate departmental Leads (Welding, Machining, Mechanic, Balance) to ensure job completion meets deadlines.

Support Quality Control efforts, including troubleshooting Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and performing Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).

Collaborate with the Shop Scheduler and Operations Manager to ensure on-time delivery of all projects.

Coach craft labor in the disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of complex rotating equipment.

Maximize workforce utilization by ensuring alignment between task scheduling and job priorities.

Participate in production meetings and contribute relevant updates and suggestions.

Identify opportunities for standardization of work practices and process documentation.

Coordinate Preventative Maintenance activities with Facilities and Scheduling teams for shop equipment.

Assist in planning and executing turnaround work conducted in the facility.

Possess familiarity with various OEM and non-OEM rotating equipment.

Interpret and understand complex engineering drawings and procedures for a variety of rotating machinery (centrifugal, gear, and screw compressors; hot gas and nitric acid expanders; steam turbines, etc.).

Understand welding/fabrication of sub-components and principles of low-speed balancing for rotating elements.

Conduct hydrostatic and gas leak testing as needed.

Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, craft teams, and Project Managers throughout inspection and repair processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of experience in the Turbomachinery or Rotating equipment industry (required).

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and work collaboratively.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physically capable of performing tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs. with assistance), bending, standing, and operating heavy shop equipment.

Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop-related lifting tools.

Comfortable working with torches and other industrial equipment.

Basic computer and math proficiency.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

Post-secondary education in a mechanical-related field is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Pearland, TX.

Minimum expectation of 40 hours per week, with extended hours based on production demands.

Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, lifting, and handling various metal components.

Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage.

Ability to work around materials such as aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.

Subject to background checks and drug/alcohol testing as required by company or customers.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and machining operations.

Moderate noise levels and potential contact with metal particles.

Generally clean and safe work environment.
