About You
As a veterinary technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will include outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, surgery assistance, and support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a neurology veterinary technician CVT/LVT/RVT (preferred) Available for on-call rotation Self-motivated with strong communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on client care Strong technical skills, including anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post-operative care Experience with diagnostic imaging (MRI/CT/Radiology) Excellent problem-solving abilities Ethical, diplomatic, courteous, professional Strong attention to detail and animal behavior observation skills Ability to provide nursing care or emergency first aid Comfortable with anesthetic patient monitoring (preferred experience with ASA I-V) Familiarity with ventilators (preferred) Knowledge of neurologic diseases, surgery, and post-operative care Ability to interpret blood pressure, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2, and integrate clinical signs Capable of collecting and performing laboratory tests Proficient with digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment Role Responsibilities:
Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients Assist with surgeries and procedures, ensuring compliance with state laws Communicate with clients about pet health and Thrive Membership options Maintain accurate medical records and relevant health history Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized Mentor and support fellow team members About the Hospital
