Position Responsibilities
Uses 3-D CAD tools to create/revise installation, assembly, and detail drawings
Performs design reviews
Performs review of design artifacts (e.g., drawings, cost estimates, SOWs, etc.) developed by the team
Reviews and validates responses to Vector requests and RFEAs in coordination with other support groups
Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets
Mentors early career designers
Provides engineering dispositions on discrepancies (e.g., cabinets, racks, equipment installation, provisions, etc.)
Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of structural commodities
Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
10+ years of experience in mechanical and/or structural design
10+ years of experience creating, executing, reviewing, and managing structural design models
10+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
10+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
10+ years of experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX)
Preferred Qualifications
Active U.S. Secret Clearance
Experience validating or verifying structural models
Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures, secondary structures, interior payloads
Experience with analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills
Experience with CATIA and ENOVIA
Experience reading and interpreting 2D drawings
Experience creating 3D models from 2D drawings
Experience with 707 and 767 platforms
Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
