Sr Manager, Total Rewards at AAON, Inc. The Senior Manager of Total Rewards is a strategic HR leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that support a diverse, multi‑site manufacturing workforce. This role ensures total rewards strategies are competitive, compliant, and aligned with operational goals, helping attract and retain top talent across production, technical, and corporate functions. The Senior Manager leads a team of professionals and partners with production leadership, HR business partners, and executive stakeholders to drive performance, engagement, and equity across all locations.

Essential Responsibilities & Activities

Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy tailored to the needs of a manufacturing workforce, including hourly, salaried, and skilled trade roles.

Lead job evaluations, market pricing, salary structure development, and incentive plan design. Ensure pay practices support operational efficiency, retention, and compliance with wage and hour laws.

Responsible for strategy and execution of Executive Compensation programs.

Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on 401(k), Short Term Incentive, and Long Term Equity Incentive program strategies and execution.

Manage health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs with a focus on accessibility, cost‑effectiveness, and employee satisfaction across production and corporate locations.

Ensure all programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including FLSA, ACA, ERISA, and other labor standards relevant to manufacturing environments.

Oversee total rewards budget and vendor relationships, including benefits brokers, consultants, and third‑party administrators.

Partner with production managers, HR teams, and executive leadership to align rewards programs with business goals, workforce needs, and operational realities.

Use compensation and benefits data to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements that support workforce stability and productivity.

Lead and develop a high‑performing team of compensation and benefits professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and service excellence.

Support performance management and recognition programs that reinforce safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Degree(s): Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits or other related HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred.

Certifications: CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist), or SPHR preferred.
