What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Research and identify potential school and district partners and initiate outreach to decision-makers
Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
Build rapport with educators and administrators to promote the value of Scholastic Reading Events
Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system
Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation and refine sales strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, or customer service
Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or CRM software
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results
