Responsibilities

Monitor the benefits email inbox daily; respond to employee inquiries using approved resources and escalate more complex questions to appropriate HR team members as needed.

Respond to basic associate questions about benefit plans or eligibility by providing standardized information or escalating to HR leadership as needed.

Process benefits-related payments by following predefined reconciliation procedures.

Support vendor processes for benefit plans including healthcare, 401(k), FSA, and employee discounts by gathering and submitting required documentation.

Enter and verify data in HRIS and payroll systems under supervision to maintain accurate benefit records.

Assist with processing benefit transactions for new hires, terminations and current employees.

Distribute pre-approved communication materials and forms related to employee benefits.

Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries using provided scripts or policy references.

Maintain internal HRIS records and websites with up-to-date benefit plan information as directed.

Escalate complex employee issues with benefit providers to the appropriate HR team member.

Assist with internal benefits audits by gathering and organizing required documentation.

Provide scheduled data to vendors to support plan testing and reporting requirements.

Coordinate logistics for wellness events and benefit-related activities under the direction of HR leadership.

Enter employee benefits enrollment and change data into systems accurately and timely.

Maintain confidentiality of employee information and follow company guidelines when responding to inquiries.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative or coordinator role in human resources or benefits administration.

Experience using productivity and communication tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience using an HRIS or benefits enrollment platform such as SuccessFactors, UKG, Empyrean etc.

Basic knowledge of relevant employment and benefits regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA).
