$3,748 to $4,742 per month (SR-12, Step C to I). Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Responsibilities Receive over-the-counter payments and make cash disbursements; assess interest, fees and penalties as necessary; tally cash and make daily cash reports; perform other related duties as assigned.
In performing cash transactions and disbursements, must apply pertinent laws, court orders, and other regulations to determine the proper amount of cash collection and/or disbursements.
Qualifications To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal Authorization to Work : The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
General Experience : Two (2) years of work experience involving posting of a variety of information onto records and/or forms, and reviewing, checking, sorting and filing records, forms, reports, etc.; demonstrates arithmetic knowledge and ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, communicate orally and in writing, and make arithmetic computations.
Specialized Experience : One (1) year of either:
A. Cashiering experience (Retail cashiering experience using an electronic scanner to read barcodes is not creditable).
B. Work experience involving review and posting of fiscal data to records of fiscal transactions (e.g., revenue ledgers, expenditure ledgers).
Public Contact Experience : At least six (6) months of the total experience required must have included experience involving contact with the public. No substitution will be permitted for this type of experience.
Substitutions Allowed : Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.
