Position Purpose:
The Clinical Nurse/Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Observation Unit to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence‑based medicine and individualized patient care. Responsibilities
Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrate acceptable performance and apply the nursing process to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education, and continuum of care planning.
Collaboratively plan, coordinate and deliver quality care to patients in a short‑stay observation unit who present with acute to stable illnesses such as chest pain, TIA, etc., addressing physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Effectively communicate fundamental patient/family information to the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN) preferred. If the BSN degree is not present at hire, employee must sign an agreement to obtain it within a specific timeframe.
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
BLS certification; additional life‑support training as applicable to unit requirements.
Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
Competency in electronic patient management systems.

Pay Range:
$38.92 – $55.68 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
