The Job at a Glance The Vice President of IT for Parts Town Americas (PTA) will serve as the senior technology leader for the division, acting as a trusted partner to business leadership and a key member of the PTA Senior Leadership Team. This role will lead all aspects of IT strategy, delivery, operations, governance, and culture for PTA, ensuring technology enables growth, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience.
The VP will oversee a team spanning applications, infrastructure, and operations, and will establish clear roadmaps, governance frameworks, and communication routines that align business priorities with technology outcomes.
The VP will work closely with the Group CIO and divisional IT leaders to share learnings, drive standardization, and seek efficiencies. In addition, the VP will lead transformation initiatives across core platforms, drive integrations across ERP, WMS, CRM, and EDI, and collaborate with the Data team to embed AI and unlock business enablers that deliver value at scale.
This role also requires strong vendor management skills and the ability to leverage the broader ecosystem of partners to accelerate innovation, optimize delivery, and maximize business value.
A Typical Day Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Development
Define and execute PTA's IT strategy and multi-year roadmaps aligned with business growth and operational priorities.
Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and other business functions to translate business goals into technology-enabled outcomes.
Ensure IT investments are prioritized, governed, and measured for impact, embedding transparency and accountability.
Collaborate with the Group CIO and divisional IT peers to identify opportunities for simplification, reuse, and "better together" approaches.
Transformation, Integration & AI Enablement
Lead transformation initiatives across ERP, WMS, CRM, EDI, and financial systems, ensuring platforms are modernized, simplified, and integrated.
Oversee application and data integration, enabling seamless end‑to‑end business processes across PTA and into global standards.
Partner with the Data & Analytics team to define the right technical and process enablers that unlock business outcomes.
Champion the adoption of embedded AI and intelligent automation across applications, platforms, and workflows.
Governance & Architectural Discipline
Establish and chair IT governance forums, ensuring effective prioritization, architecture review, and business engagement.
Oversee IT routines, including change advisory boards (CAB), program reviews, and architecture review boards (ARB).
Drive alignment with enterprise standards while tailoring IT solutions to PTA's unique business requirements.
Business Partnership & Communication
Serve as a strategic advisor to PTA leadership, ensuring IT is embedded as a partner in decision-making.
Establish effective communication channels across IT and business functions to share roadmaps, progress, and outcomes.
Act as a culture champion, driving engagement, collaboration, and "Better Together" behaviors across IT and the business.
Innovation, Vendors & Continuous Improvement
Identify and deliver innovation opportunities that enhance customer and employee experiences.
Build strong vendor and ecosystem partnerships to accelerate innovation, optimize delivery, and create joint business value.
Lead strategic vendor management across key technology providers, MSPs, and integrators to ensure accountability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, reducing technical debt and modernizing platforms, infrastructure, and processes.
IT Operations & Resiliency
Ensure PTA's IT operations are reliable, secure, and resilient, including infrastructure, applications, and support services.
Maintain strong cyber, disaster recovery, and risk management practices in partnership with Security and Infrastructure teams.
Track and report performance metrics to measure IT effectiveness and value delivery.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing IT leadership team across applications, operations, and infrastructure.
Foster a diverse and inclusive environment that attracts, develops, and retains top IT talent.
Develop succession planning, leadership capability, and technical depth across the PTA IT organization.
To Land This Opportunity
You have 15+ years of IT leadership experience with at least 5+ years in a divisional or enterprise CIO/VP role.
You are a Master Guru with a strong track record of leading IT in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or e‑commerce environments.
You know all the ways to prove success developing and executing IT strategies, roadmaps, governance, and transformation programs.
You have deep experience with ERP (SAP S/4 RISE preferred), WMS, CRM, and digital platforms, with strong integration knowledge.
You are a Maestro with demonstrated expertise in embedding AI/automation and enabling data‑driven processes in partnership with Data & Analytics.
You have extensive experience in strategic vendor management, including contract negotiations, performance management, and leveraging ecosystem partners for value creation.
You are an excellent communicator with outstanding executive presence, with experience engaging senior business leadership and boards.
You have strong financial management skills, including oversight of large-scale IT budgets and external partnerships.

Salary range for this role is $219,000 - 327,576, based on qualifications, experience and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay‑for‑performance company. Base pay may be supplemented by profit‑sharing, annual bonus, and other incentives.
