The Manager of People & Culture will play a hands-on, tactical role in shaping the employee experience across Phoenix3 Collective. This position is responsible for executing core HR functions while actively fostering a cohesive and values-driven culture across all entities. As Phoenix3 scales, this role will be instrumental in embedding culture through structured training, immersive orientation, and ongoing development. Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Management: Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and positive experiences. Set new hires up for success through structured orientation and early engagement. Training & Orientation: Design and lead monthly orientation sessions for new managers and employees. As the organization grows, develop and facilitate multi-day culture immersion experiences to deeply embed Phoenix3’s values and operational ethos. Partner with leadership to ensure training programs reflect both tactical needs and cultural priorities. HR Operations: Oversee and coordinate payroll, benefits, leave management, and PTO tracking. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Employee Relations & Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and workplace matters. Build trust through approachability and responsiveness. Performance & Development: Support performance management by organizing reviews, tracking goals, and coaching managers. Identify and coordinate development opportunities aligned with individual and organizational growth. HR Systems & Reporting: Own HR systems and ensure data is current, accurate, and actionable for leadership. Culture Stewardship: Help refine and define a cohesive culture across all companies. Shape and reinforce shared identity through rituals, lineups, and daily practices. Act as a steward of values, ensuring culture is lived—not just spoken about. Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong HR generalist background with proven experience in tactical execution. Experience designing and facilitating training and orientation programs, including immersive onboarding experiences. Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working “in the weeds.” Approachable and trusted by employees, with a disciplined operational mindset. Experience in hospitality or service-driven environments (e.g., Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons) is highly desirable, especially where culture and HR are deeply integrated. Passionate about creating environments where employees feel connected, valued, and empowered. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s or certifications like SHRM-CP/PHR a plus) 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-entity or high-growth environment Deep understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices in a multi-unit environment. Proven ability to build strong relationships and coach leaders across functions. Proven ability to build and deliver training and development programs. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication and decision-making skills. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in contract food service or hospitality strongly preferred. Who We Are
