Pay Base pay range:
23.00/hr - 31.00/hr
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the team in Produce and Floral area to achieve business objectives.
Communicate department goals and execute company programs while adhering to policies.
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations ensuring quality, inventory, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance.
Manage seasonality, product knowledge and prioritize time across areas.
Collaborate with associates to share resources, train the team, and improve production and product quality.
Leverage digital tools and handheld technology to make immediate business decisions.
Drive operational excellence, maintaining a clean, safe work area and accurate audit and compliance standards.
Recruit, train, and develop team members, promoting career growth and sourcing talent internally or externally.
Support compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and the Open Door Policy.
Act with integrity, serve customers, and strive for excellence through continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6 months experience working in a fresh produce department.
At least 6 months experience supervising a team.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Completion of required job trainings and assessments within stipulated time.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior team supervision experience.
Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) – primary.
Interest in using technology for sales planning and shop improvement.
