Overview
Outside Sales Representative – Mid-West Region, Chicago or NYC. Holland & Sherry, a luxury textile company in the tailored clothing industry, is seeking a full-time outside sales representative for our Mid-West region. Our North America office serves USA and Canadian wholesale accounts (retailers, specialty men’s and women’s stores, fashion designers, tailors). The position requires entrepreneurship, initiative, and diligent follow-up, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams. Our ideal candidate has knowledge of textiles and a drive to contribute to a sales force that emphasizes company culture and collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Manage a defined territory of accounts and act as the face of the company to sell through education, collaboration, and sampling. Territories include the Mid-West to the Pacific Northwest. Focus on relationship-building, maintaining and growing current accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. Travel expected at least 2x per month; duration varies by territory. Deliver comprehensive product presentations, new collection showings, project-specific meetings, and library updates to drive client growth. Keep clients informed on products and input all activity into the CRM system. Collaborate with Customer Service to maintain quick, accurate communication with clients about stocked products. Liaise with the UK office on order issues, swatch sampling, and shipping concerns. Assist with follow-up on payments. When in the showroom, work with the National Sales Manager and customer service to streamline day-to-day operations. Maintain daily updates, follow up on action items, manage emails, conduct client outreach and sales, and provide team support. Qualifications
2+ years in luxury sales, textiles, or clothing sales is ideal. Experience in a professional environment; wholesale showroom/office experience is helpful. Bachelor’s Degree desirable but not essential. Ability to take on multiple projects and execute with high quality. Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and general computer proficiency.
