Position Overview
San Bernardino County is recruiting a Supervising Automated Systems Analyst II who will supervise technical staff and manage networked information systems, functions, business applications, and services.
Duties include evaluating, modifying, implementing, and overseeing complex networked computer systems and distributing PCs and other devices. Additional responsibilities: manage servers and line of business applications; oversee licensing, service agreements, inventory, security, and Help Desk tracking and support; determine departmental IT needs and recommend resolutions for hardware, software, and network conflicts; prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs); manage departmental end‑user support and information technology projects. The position serves as the first line of customer service and coordinates IT with facilities/property management during department moves and remodels.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, modify, implement, and oversee complex networked computer systems and distribute PCs and other devices.
Manage servers and line of business applications.

Qualifications
Experience Requirement:
Three (3) years of full‑time equivalent experience within the last five (5) years supporting and administering Microsoft Windows systems in a current Microsoft Active Directory network, with a minimum of two (2) years as a lead or supervisor over technical‑level IT staff.
Education Requirement:
Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college‑level coursework in Information Technology, or certification as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA A+, or Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA). One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education or certificate. Transcripts and/or certificates must be attached to the application.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience supervising or leading IT professionals and projects in an IT environment, especially with end‑user computing and support. Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, training, customer service, and decision‑making skills.
