$1,791/week (plus $1,600 completion bonus per contract, up to $4,800 after three contracts)
Position Summary ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week seasonal travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The Telemetry RN will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and specialized nursing interventions.
This position is ideal for nurses who are confident in rhythm interpretation, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and bring strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills to support complex patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting abnormalities or changes in condition.
Provide nursing care for a variety of telemetry and cardiac step-down patients, including heart catheterization recovery.
Administer IV medications, manage chest tubes, and operate PCA and IV pumps in accordance with hospital protocols.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
Collaborate closely with physicians, patient care technicians, and other team members to optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Meditech EMR system.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding cardiac procedures and treatment plans.
Float as needed within the Telemetry or Med‑Surg units based on patient census and staffing needs.
Qualifications
Active Kansas RN license or Compact State RN license (required).
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Telemetry or Cardiac Stepdown experience (required).
Required Certifications (AHA):
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Preferred Experience: Heart cath recovery, central line management, and medication drips.
Strong clinical judgment, independence, and teamwork skills.
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).
Recent tuberculosis (TB) test required.
