An international Top 15 Am Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Labor & Employment Associate with a minimum of 4 years' experience to join their Tier 1 ranked practice group in either our Los Angeles or Orange County office.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team, advising and representing a diverse client base—from startups to Fortune 500 companies—across a variety of industries nationwide. Their practice is known for tackling complex, high-stakes matters and providing strategic counsel on cutting-edge labor and employment issues.
Base Pay Range $225,000.00/yr - $365,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Manage and actively participate in all phases of complex employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions, representative actions under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and individual claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
Provide proactive, day‑to‑day counsel to clients on a wide range of state and federal employment law compliance matters, including wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, reductions in force (RIFs), and sensitive disciplinary issues.
Draft, review, and update personnel policies, employee handbooks, employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
Conduct and advise clients on internal workplace investigations related to claims of harassment, discrimination, and other alleged misconduct.
Represent clients before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).
Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience practicing labor and employment law, preferably within a peer‑ranked law firm environment.
Proven experience representing employers on both a class and individual basis with respect to wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, and employment agreements.
Significant experience handling wage and hour class action and PAGA litigation is essential.
Must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and be an active member in good standing of the California Bar.
Exceptional analytical, legal research, writing, and communication skills. Must be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $225,000 - $365,000, commensurate with experience, market data, and firm‑wide compensation policy.
Eligibility for an annual performance‑based bonus.
