Sales Associate
Role:
The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency, delivering Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, building ongoing customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaving a positive, lasting impression.
Responsibilities
Sales Floor : Understands objectives and makes decisions aligned with Company priorities. Take ownership of personal and store metrics; develop personal sales and clienteling strategies in partnership with management. Create short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal metrics; action plans to improve opportunities. Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrate Selling and Service expectations. Monitor local market changes and support local sales strategies. Drive business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining relationships. Present oneself in line with Coach’s style guide. Communicate product knowledge, pricing, promotions, and benefits. Cross-sell and promote related products. Tailor approach to customer needs with strong listening cues. Manage multiple customers and follow up consistently. Contribute to store financial results through selling techniques and teamwork. Use Coach tools to support relationship-building. Foster enthusiasm, teamwork, and a positive store environment. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
Operations : Complete daily tasks without impacting service or standards. Maintain store, backroom, cash wrap, and visual merchandising to Coach standards. Keep selling floor clean and organized. Adhere to retail policies and procedures (POS, Operations, Asset Protection). Replenish inventory as needed.
Store Inventory & Transactions : Process shipments, stock shelves, and manage inventory in stockroom and on the floor. Assist with cash-wrap operations for purchases, returns, and exchanges. Process customer transactions (purchase, return, exchange, found order) efficiently. Prepare the store by organizing functional areas, cleaning, and maintaining merchandising standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience : 1–3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and marketplace competition.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Technical : Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, internet), walkie-talkie use, ability to read price and product release sheets.
Physical : Ability to work at a fast pace; communicate effectively with customers and team; maneuver the sales floor, shelves, and stock room; ability to climb, bend, kneel; frequently lift up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds for shipments/transfers.
Schedule : Ability to meet Coach scheduling and availability expectations, including flexible availability for nights, weekends, holidays and high-traffic periods.

$16.66 to $18.75 hourly
