Seeking an experienced Patent Counsel – Technology & Innovation to join a dynamic, globally recognized law practice at the forefront of innovation and technology. Benefits and Compensation

Competitive Base Salary: $220,000 – $310,000

Requirements & Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to a state Bar, in good standing or eligible to waive.

Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent) required.

At least 2 years of patent prosecution experience, ideally within 5G, Wi‑Fi, wireless communication systems, processor and memory systems, artificial intelligence, image processing, or RF front‑end technologies.

Registered with or qualified to register with the USPTO.

Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills, supported by excellent academic credentials.

Manage patent portfolios and develop strategies for clients in fast‑evolving technology sectors.

Draft and prosecute high‑quality patent applications with precision and technical depth.

Partner with inventors, in‑house counsel, and cross‑border teams to guide IP strategy.

Provide guidance on global patent landscapes and competitive positioning.

Contribute to business development through relationship management and client outreach.

Experience working with clients in autonomous vehicles, robotics, computer vision, NLP, or other AI‑driven technologies.

Comfort liaising directly with engineering and R&D teams to translate complex technologies into patentable assets.

Prior work in global or cross‑practice IP environments.

Interest in mentorship, leadership, and contributing to firm growth initiatives.
