Senior Catering Manager - DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Boston Cambridge
The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Boston Cambridge is looking for a Senior Catering Manager.
Location: Boston, Cambridge. Hotel features 267 guest rooms and 2,037 sq. ft. of meeting space, largest 925 sq. ft.
Shift Pattern: Typical office hours 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility for client events.
Responsibilities
Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships.
Negotiate business through proposals and contracts; close business.
Design menus and events to maximize revenue and experience.
Maintain existing corporate and social accounts.
Foster internal customer relationships for consistent high‑level service throughout contracting, pre‑, during and post‑event.
Direct event logistics with departments and team members.
Serve as primary contact and oversee client experience.
Organize, plan and prioritize duties with goals.
Communicate timely with internal and external clients via phone, email, documents or in person.
Create and maintain client relationships to set and meet expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of booking systems and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate complaints.
Sell and influence internal and external clients.
Make decisions and solve problems by analysis.
Ensure high quality service with guidance and coaching.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist sales process.
Perform other duties as needed.
Maintain regular attendance.
Qualifications
At least two years of experience in hotel catering or group sales.
Proven track record converting group leads into bookings.
Highly motivated to act on leads and deliver positive results.
Creativity and enthusiasm in showcasing the hotel to potential clients.
Demonstrated values: Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, Urgency.
