About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its philanthropic organization. The successful candidate will be a charismatic, innovative, and growth-oriented leader with a deep understanding of the social service sector and a strong mission connection to poverty alleviation. The CEO will be responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the organization, working closely with the Founder and Board to ensure that the mission is advanced through creative strategies that enhance the organization's culture, capability, processes, outreach, and impact. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving programmatic and financial growth, strong fundraising experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with an engaged board of directors.
The ideal CEO for the company will have a history of success in a not-for-profit, mission-driven setting, and will be expected to have a high EQ, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Responsibilities include financial management, fundraising, program development, and board engagement. The role demands a leader with the ability to analyze trends, and performance metrics, and to build and lead a diverse team. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with an advanced degree being beneficial. The CEO will be the active spokesperson and brand ambassador for the organization, and as such, must be able to create excitement and energy around the mission. The position is based in New York City, with a requirement for travel between the company's locations in NYC and LA.
