About the Role
The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as its chief academic officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading innovation in academic excellence, intellectual growth, and student success. The Provost/VPAA will also oversee academic administration, develop and manage the Academic Affairs budget, and facilitate processes related to faculty and staff employment. A key focus of the position is to contribute to increasing student recruitment, persistence, and completion, as well as to advance the university's Quality Enhancement Plan. Applicants must have an earned doctorate or terminal degree, with a strong academic background that qualifies for appointment as a full professor with tenure. A minimum of 5 years' related academic leadership experience is required, with a preference for those with senior-level experience at the dean or provost/vice president level. The role demands a deep knowledge of post-secondary education issues, accreditation standards, and budget management principles. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in delegation, collaboration, decision-making, and communication, and will be adept at dealing with a diverse range of constituents. Responsibilities also include addressing operational infrastructures, managing academic policies, and serving as the primary academic liaison with the University System of Georgia.
