About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Institutional Shared Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, financial oversight, and administration of all institutional core facilities. This role involves maintaining knowledge of institutional research programs, leading the development of new core facilities, and ensuring the effective operation of the research enterprise. The Executive Director will also be tasked with data management, compliance, and people management, providing leadership to a team that supports the financial management of core facilities and assists Principal Investigators in the development of complex submissions for shared resources.
Candidates for this position must have a PhD in a biomedical science, business, or health administration, with a preference for those holding both a PhD and an MBA. A minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in biomedical research, shared resources/core facilities administration, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial and usage data management, extensive administrative leadership experience, advanced data management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance. Strong communication and coordination abilities are essential, as the role involves working with senior leadership, program leaders, and other stakeholders across the institution. The Executive Director will also be expected to lead and supervise a team, provide guidance, and support professional development.
