This hospital-employed OB/Gyn practice in Southeast Michigan seeks a BE/BC physician to join an established Obstetrics & Gynecology practice affiliated with Corewell Health and William Beaumont University Hospital Campus. The candidate must provide a broad range of obstetrical and gynecological services. Ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills for program building and strong communication skills to expand the referral base and strengthen community ties. Responsibilities
Develop and cultivate positive and productive working relationships with Corewell Health personnel, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage. Demonstrate a commitment to service and to distinctive, personalized care for internal and external customers, aiming to exceed expectations. Assist in meeting operational, financial, and patient-satisfaction goals. Complete all required competencies and annual organizational mandatories in a timely manner. Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients. Provide quality medical services in a cost-effective, appropriate manner and ensure coverage of caseload at all times. Communicate with patients’ families, referring physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other hospital departments regarding the plan of care and treatment, including within 24 hours of admission for major changes and within 24 hours prior to discharge. Document medical services in the patient’s medical record in accordance with hospital, payer, and regulatory standards. Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required by the Department. Participate in value-based reimbursement programs and quality initiatives as required by the Department. Engage in Quality Improvement (QI) / Quality Assurance (QA) and peer review activities as requested. Assist, as requested, in the development of policies and procedures related to medical practice and quality patient care. Participate in ongoing process improvement activities through clinical paths and other related activities. Support patient participation in clinical trials and research, assessing safety and efficacy data per Research Institute policies. Provide oversight, teaching, and mentorship of fellows, residents, APPs (e.g., physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses), and students, including collaboration with affiliated medical schools as requested.
