CoE Business Process Senior Consultant - Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)

Purpose and Objectives
The Premium Hub Center of Expertise (CoE), a subdivision of SAP Customer Services & Delivery, has the goal and mission to ensure optimal performance, availability and smooth operation of SAP software as well as to optimize technical and business processes by delivering services to SAP customers. As a Business Process Senior Consultant, you will deliver design and realization workshops for customers in North America and present the results of your findings and recommendations to IT managers and executives. We’re looking for passionate people with excellent functional and technical and communication skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of SAP products and technologies in all industry segments. Business travel will be an essential part of this role.
Expectations and Tasks
Lead and conduct functional design workshops, identify issues/risks, and provide recommendations to optimize business processes, system automation, system landscape and protection of investment. Resolve critical business process design issues and work closely with SAP development to provide the best practice and reference architecture to the customers.
Manage critical customer escalation and drive critical issues to resolution, building trusted advisor relationships with customers.
Lead customer implementations and provide architectural inputs and best practices for the business processes, ideas for improving customer productivity, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Conduct deep root cause analysis with technical and programming skills, delivering services in complex environments for specific fields and areas, across on‑premise, public and private cloud landscapes.
Act as a De‑escalation Architect to identify top issues, create action plans, analyze system landscapes and core business processes, and develop comprehensive service plans for customers.
Provide industry knowledge and contribute to support services for new products and components such as Industry 4.0, BTP, AI solutions, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies
Minimum bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science or engineering.
Functional expertise and ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, interacting effectively with all levels of customers and management.
Willingness to travel worldwide; occasional weekend work may be required.
Work Experience
6+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA embedded Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), Digital Supply Chain Edition, and SAP ERP Production Planning & Execution.
Expertise in integration of supply chain planning systems with S/4HANA PPDS and Core Interface (CIF).
Detailed understanding of PP/DS sub‑topics such as planning & scheduling heuristics, PP Optimizer, DS Optimizer, Alert Monitor and Fiori apps.
Knowledge of industry‑specific solutions such as tank planning, automotive planning, multiple output planning, and variant configuration/characteristics dependent planning.
Strong understanding of end‑to‑end SAP logistics and supply chain processes and their integration into PP/DS.
Technical expertise in SAP systems and integration architecture, including ABAP, HANA and BTP technologies.

Compensation Range Transparency
The targeted combined range for this position is 135,600 – 230,600 USD per year. The actual amount offered will be within that range and depend on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, and performance.
