Job Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager to direct and coordinate technology projects as part of a multi-year initiative to modernize the existing environment.
This role involves replacing legacy business applications with current COTS products or internally developed applications while managing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery according to PMI best practices and the Georgia Department of Labor Project Management Methodology.
Requirement/Must Have:
Project Management Certification (PMP).
Demonstrated success managing large, complex programs/projects utilizing multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, Kanban).
Experience gathering business requirements and documenting business processes.
Knowledge of full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Experience managing at least two full lifecycle Agile software development projects (initiation through deployment/warranty) with project teams exceeding 10 members.
Full end-to-end accountability for project management roles.
Experience managing IT projects with enterprise-wide impact related to software application development and implementation.
Experience collaborating with vendor partners for project solution delivery.
Well-developed oral, written, and listening communication skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and attention to detail skills.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team motivation skills.
Expert-level knowledge of standard PM tools (MS Project Professional, SharePoint, Visio, MS Office Suite).
Experience:
Proven experience managing complex technology projects from start to finish with aggressive timelines.
Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate project activities, including planning, schedule development and maintenance, resource tracking, risk management, communications management, reporting, quality management, and vendor management.
Manage all aspects of the project according to PMI best practices and department methodology.
Ensure successful delivery of projects, meeting timelines, scope, and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to resolve conflicts and achieve project objectives.
Provide regular status reports and updates to stakeholders.
Qualification And Education:
PMP Certification.
Strong foundation in project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
