Job Summary
The Division Manager develops and leads a team and is responsible for maximizing revenue and profitability for a specific business segment by utilizing the expertise and industry knowledge that exists within the team. This position provides direction, development, coaching and guidance to all direct reports while simultaneously managing multiple claims/jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as point of contact for urgent issues. Ensure all segments of divisional operations support the timely billing and DSO reduction. Promote inter-office communication via regular staff meetings providing direction for the overall success of the Division. Establish and maintain strong relationships with adjusters, customers, co-workers and contractors. Provide direction, leadership and coaching to team members on current jobs and priorities. Continuously promote the company’s services to adjusters and/or potential clients. Collaborate and support Sales efforts in meeting corporate revenue objectives. Drive Division level financial success in areas such as Revenue, Profit, Billing, and DSO. Conduct regular staff meetings or 1:1s to ensure positive flow of communication. Ensure performance reviews for the Division are processed on time. Make strategic decisions to positively impact the success of the Division and ensure deadlines are met. Hire, manage, and maintain a diverse workforce. Promote employee growth and development through training. Support the Company’s safe workplace policies and practices and promote adherence.
Experience/Requirements
Specialized knowledge in asbestos, contents processing, lead abatement, or mold remediation depending on area of responsibility. Proven management experience in commercial and residential industry. Sufficient knowledge of current management techniques and best practices. Familiarity with industry rules and regulations. Ability to meet target and production goals. Results driven and customer relations focus. Possesses leadership skills, with ability to motivate and increase morale. Basic knowledge of human resource management skills.
Safety Requirements
Regulatory Requirements: Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required PPE may include gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, and safety footwear. All employees must wear PPE as required for their specific roles and job site conditions. Ergonomic Practices: Practice ergonomic principles to prevent musculoskeletal disorders. Office Safety Protocols: Adhere to established office safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Safety Training: Complete all mandatory safety training sessions, including hazard communication, emergency response, and safe equipment handling. Reporting Safety Concerns: Ability to identify and immediately report any unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents or injuries to supervisors without fear of retaliation. Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures relevant to your specific job site, including evacuation routes and emergency contacts.
Physical Requirements
Lifting and Carrying: up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs with assistance. Physical Activities: Walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, lifting above shoulder, reaching, and twisting. Sitting and Standing: Prolonged sitting or standing required; regular alternation between sitting and standing. Repetitive Motions: Computer/mouse use, typing, and other repetitive tasks. Machinery Operation: Ability to operate machinery and tools as required by job tasks. Visual Ability: Clear vision required for close work and computer use.
Working Conditions
Office Environment
Indoor office setting with standard office equipment; regular meetings and collaboration with team members.
Field Environment
Outdoor fieldwork at restoration sites; exposure to various weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, heat).
Hazardous Environments
Potential exposure to hazardous materials or contaminants; adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage. May require work after hours and weekends due to 24/7 operations.
Travel Requirements
May require travel to and from job sites; potential attendance at out-of-town trainings or conferences.
