The Senior Financial Analyst partners directly with the Chief Financial Officer to provide actionable financial insight across multiple departments and companies. The role links operational activity to financial results, delivering clear analysis that supports sound, data-driven decisions. It is a hands-on, onsite position suited to someone who enjoys working with diverse teams, distilling complex information, and building financial tools that improve visibility—without staff management responsibilities.
Essential Functions
Support the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling across companies.
Assist the Controller and CFO with month-end close activities, including but not limited to invoicing, revenue recognition, and inventory analysis.
Perform variance, trend, and profitability analyses to identify performance drivers.
Partner with department and company leaders to interpret results and refine forecasts.
Prepare management reports and Board-ready presentation materials.
Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and other performance tools.
Evaluate projects and capital investments through ROI and scenario modeling.
Collaborate with accounting to ensure data accuracy across ERP and BI systems.
Execute ad-hoc financial analyses to guide operational and strategic decisions.
Contribute to process improvements and strengthen FP&A discipline enterprise-wide.
Skills & Competencies
Advanced Excel proficiency, including modeling and analytical functions.
Strong grasp of financial statements and key performance metrics.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
Comfortable working across multiple companies and departments without formal authority.
Capable of presenting financial insights to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Detail-oriented and improvement-minded.
Physical Demands
Minimal physical requirements.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Salaried
Travel
Onsite, collaborative environment with exposure to aviation and technical-training operations. Some domestic travel may be required.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3–6 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting.
Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Familiarity with ERP/BI tools such as Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights, or Power BI.
Proven ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
