Responsibilities
The Melt Shop Day Supervisor will assist in the overall growth and development of the melt shop team while fostering mutual trust and respect within the team. Work with other departments to ensure cross-departmental consistency and cultivate a culture of ownership, engagement, and teamwork to drive continuous improvement. Serve as a resource for operating crews; establish and maintain expectations and develop best practices for the area to ensure consistency. Participate in long-term strategic planning for the department and division. Lead one of the Melt Shop areas (EAF, LMF/Degasser, Caster, Refractory, or Raw Materials) and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum two years of leadership experience at a steel mill. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
