Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Global Algorithm Engineer for the C2BMC program. The C2BMC system provides US Commanders with essential situational awareness and serves as the integrating element central to the Missile Defense Agency’s missile defense missions. The MDA C2BMC National Team collaborates with government agencies, contractors, universities, and other organizations to accomplish a diverse mission. The Work
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing tracking and custody and firing algorithm solutions, and for developing and validating complex models and simulations. You will work with a team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers to support contracts and IRADs. Design, integrate, and test tracking and custody algorithm solutions for tracking and fire control products. Develop and validate complex models and simulations (e.g., 6-degree-of-freedom simulations and effects-based simulations). Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments. Support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities. Collaborate with internal leadership and external customers for program reviews and technical interchange meetings. Facilitate Root Cause Analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions. Evaluate process/product performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Monitor product development including requirements allocation, architecture, design, development, integration, test and acceptance. Identify systemic issues through data evaluation and provide reports to senior management. Provide inputs to ensure sound labor estimates on ECPs and ongoing proposals. Witness integration and test activities and formal quality testing as required. Perform reviews and inspections of program artifacts/deliverables to ensure quality requirements, processes, and standards are met. Who You Are
Experience in algorithm work in at least one area: optimization, machine learning, or state estimation. Software Quality Engineering and/or related discipline processes including Systems Engineering Methodologies (Model Based and DoDAF). Basic understanding of programming languages (Java and Python). Code and peer review experience; experienced reviewer of technical documentation; root cause analysis practitioner; process auditing experience. Who We Are
