Job Description Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute performance analyses on C2BMC and its interactions with current and planned‑future MD Elements.

Document analysis results in reports and briefings.

Present analysis results to a variety of audiences.

Develop requirements for complex system models/simulations.

Execute, test, and evaluate/troubleshoot MD‑level, large‑scale models/simulations.

Develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios.

Develop tools to support analysis and development effort in MATLAB and Python.

Provide data to support decisions regarding system/element representations and modeling parameters used in large‑scale simulations.

Interact with members of other C2BMC Product Teams, C2BMC leadership, MDA customers, technical SMEs, and leadership of other MD Element programs.

May function in project leadership roles and represent the organization as a prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts.

Basic Qualifications

A final secret clearance is required.

Experience with simulation models.

Strategic and tactical missile threat characterization, performance, and modeling knowledge.

Requirement and test condition decomposition experience.

Radar design and performance knowledge.

Knowledge and hands‑on experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.

Desired skills

Discrete event simulation modeling.

Data analysis using tools in Python, MATLAB.

Exposure to tactical‑strategic weapon and sensor message standards.

Software development in a Linux and agile environment using MATLAB, Python (strongly preferred) and/or Java, Bash, etc.

Experience with GIT environment a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to work independently and the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.

Work Schedule 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. The employee selected for this position will work part of the work schedule remotely and part of the work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
